C'est La Vie Mini Album - 3GJ dt

Hi guys and thanks for stopping by today!!  I have a mini album to share with you that I made for one of my dance student's graduation gift.  My student is going to France for a year abroad and I thought she could use this as a keepsake album afterwards.  This is only my 2nd ever mini album and I have to say even though they are time consuming, they are lots of fun and I hope to make several more in the near future!!

I used the following 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon colors for my album - daffodil from the Spring Flowers bundle, baby boy from the Baby bundle, and aqua splash from the Carribean Splash bundle. I just fed them through an eyelet and tied them into a big, floppy bow.  I have included a few pictures as well as a video of my album for you to look at.

Okay, this is my first time ever doing a video and I definitely need a lot of work.  I never realized how much work videos are to make - I so appreciate all of you that make them and share such great tutorials with all of us!!  My youngest daughter recorded me on my ipod as my husband was furiously sanding down cabinet doors in the basement below so you may hear that background noise.

The paper I used for this album is Bo Bunny "C'est La Vie".  I used up a whole 6x6 pad as well as a few sheets of 12 x 12 and the sticker collection.  My album is based off of a tutorial by Cassie Keith which you can find HERE.  Thanks for taking the time to stop by today!!

Tap Dance Thank Yous - 3GJ dt

Today is my design team post for 3 Girl JAM and I have a couple of thank you cards I made to share with you.  I made these for two specific people who gave me extra help with my tap dance class this year - thus the tap shoe on the front!

I tied the ribbons in my tap shoes using some 3 Girl JAM "Tuxedo" crinkle ribbon from the Celebrations Bundle.  I thought they turned out adorable! The tap shoe is from the silhouette online store - id# 10540. The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps "Simple Sentiments" and I added some bling that I purchased at Joanns.  Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a fabulous day!!

Graduation Cards - PPPR dt post

Well, I needed 3 more graduation cards to make it through the season so I made 3 of the same card but used the school colors for each recipient to personalize them.

These came together rather quickly using the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons "Hats Off" cutting files for both the hat and sentiment cuts.  I added some black gems for the top of the hat and did some doodling with my white gel pen and it came together easily.  Thanks for stopping by today and I hope I have inspired you for your next batch of graduation cards.

Canvas Bag with 3GJ distressed lace ribbon

Today is my 3 Girl JAM dt post and I want to share with you a project that I made for one of my daughter's friends birthday present.  We used a plain canvas bag which I prewashed ( it shrunk a lot and that is why it is still wrinkled in the picture).  I used my Silhouette Studio software to design the name and dancer and then printed that out on Avery Ink Jet T-shirt Transfer paper.  My favorite part of this project though is the gorgeous flower I created using some 3 Girl JAM distressed lace and a 3 Girl JAM vintage button for the center.

To create the lace flower, I cut a circle out of some felt I had on hand.  I used hot glue and starting on the outside of the circle and working inward I glued a small bit of lace to the felt and then folded it back on itself and glued some more and so on. . . similar to "pleating".  When I got to the end I glued the button in place to hide the empty space that was left.  I put a safety pin on the back of the flower to attach it to the bag so that the recipient could use it for other purposes if they wanted to.

To receive 10% off of your 3 Girl JAM order, please use code NE10 at checkout.  Thanks for stopping by today!!  As usual, I love your feedback and do not hesitate to ask questions if you would like to give this a try too :-)

Let the Good Times Roll - PPPR dt

I'm BAAAAACCCKKK!!  After 2 weeks of jury duty, I am back and yes, it definitely affected my crafty time and energy!  Today is my day to post for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and I have a fun card to share with you that I made for my hubby's birthday.  I made a taller sized card and used dimensions based off of a business envelope I had in my stash.  I wanted to make my beer glass the focal point and thus make it as large as possible.  My hubby is a "home brewer" so this is a very fitting card for him.

My Mind's Eye "Hip, Hip Hooray" - background paper
