"You're the Man" blog hop - Cardz TV Stamps

Happy Saturday and welcome to the "You're the Man" blog hop with Cardz TV Stamps design team.  Our blog hop will extend over the weekend, giving you 2 days of projects using the new "You're the Man" stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps.  You should be arriving at my blog from the lovely Julie.  If you missed the beginning of the hop, then head over to Mary's blog to start our blog hop for today.

For my project, I created a card for my husband since not only is Father's Day coming up but his birthday is too so I figured I best get crafting something!  My hubby has just started brewing his own beer this year.  After too many years of remodeling our house (and we are still not done!), he finally took up a hobby.  Thus, my card was inspired by this part of his life.

My beer mug is a file from the Silhouette Online Store.  I used clear acetate for the shadow of the mug, which I realize does not show up that well in the picture.  The mustache and the sentiment are from the "You're the Man" stamp set.  Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the hop!!  Don't forget that Mary will be giving away 2 sets of Cardz TV Stamps to one lucky winner so make sure you leave a comment on her blog!!

Teacher Appreciation Gift - PPPR DT post

Hi my fellow bloggers!!  Today is design team day over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and my project today is made with "Teacher Appreciation" week in mind.  This will be specifically for my youngest daughter's homeroom teacher.

I used a large bottle of hand sanitizer that I purchased from Walmart and removed the labels with Goo Gone and Windex.  I used Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons "Back to School" cutting files to cut my apple out of vinyl. I used a true type font (can't remember which ones) to cut out the A+ and the teacher's name.  I attached the green bow with a bit of twine to keep it securely on the neck of the bottle.  I think this cute little apple looks perfect on this and I can't wait for my daughter to give it to her teacher.  Make sure you head over to the PPPR blog to see the rest of the design team's projects - I guarantee you will find some creative inspiration from this group of talented gals.  Have a great rest of your week and don't forget to post any projects you make with PPPR files on the PPPR facebook page!!

Thank You/You Rock!!

I am a bit behind on sharing some projects I have made over the last few months that were non-design team related.  Today I am sharing a pair of thank you cards I made for a couple of my husband's co-workers.  They have season tickets to the big shows at our local theatre and there was one show they were unable to attend so they gave us their tickets.  It was a fabulous show - "Rock of Ages" - a broadway show using heavy metal music from mostly the 80s and 90s.  I thought these were fitting thank you's for the gift they gave us, LOL!

I used my "Smiley Cards" cartridge with my gypsy for my guitar.  The star was from the "George and basic shapes" cartridge.  The sentiments and ticket shapes are from the "ticket talk" stamp set from Cardz TV stamps.  Thanks for stopping by today and have a blessed Sunday!

Baby card and gift bag to match - PPPR DT day

Wow!!  It's Wednesday already!  I hope your week is going well.   Today I have a baby card and a matching gift bag that I made for my neighbor who recently gave birth to her second son.  I used the "Safari Love" cutting files set for my cute giraffe and the "Borders 1" cutting files set for the border on my gift bag.

Make sure you head over to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons BLOG to see what the rest of the design team has created for their projects this week.  I guarantee you will be inspired by their creativity.  Also, Lisa has a new file set she is releasing and it is perfect for April/spring time projects.

Dance Bags - DT post for 3 Girl Jam

Happy Monday my fellow bloggers.  Today is my Design Team day for 3 Girl Jam and I want to share some of 3 Girl Jam's Stateline muslin bags that I decorated for my older girls to use in their dance bags.  Both of my older girls are on pointe in their ballet training and that means extra accessories in their dance bags - bandaids, nail clippers, toepads, etc. .  .  Well, I thought these bags would make a great storage solution for some of those smaller items.  I used the 5 x 7 sized Stateline bags for this project.  I also used some Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV)  that I had purchased a year ago and never used since.  I have to tell you I am in love with HTV!!  It cut out so well with my Cameo and ironed on easily with my regular ole iron set on high.   I also pulled out the drawstring and inserted some Tuxedo crinkle ribbon from the 3 Girl Jam Celebrations Bundle.  I added my daughters' names on the backside in case so they would know whose bag was whose.  The font I used was "Lobster" and the svg for the ballet shoes was one that I picked up awhile ago in the Craftedge forum.

This project went together so easily and quite quickly too!!  I see myself doing more of these in the future for gifts - afterall, a lot of my daughters' friends are dancers too!!

Cardz TV Challenge "Mix It Up"

Cardz TV Ch# 27 "Mix It Up!"
Make a card, layout or craft project mixing 3 patterned papers
Starts: Fri, April 5
Ends: Thurs, Apr 18 @ Noon EST
Prize: 1 set of Cardz TV Stamps

Here is my project for this challenge:

I loved this challenge!!  I have always been inspired by other crafters who mix several patterned papers in their projects.  It has been an area that I have tried to challenge myself to grow in over this past year and this challenge was just another motivator.  I went a bit overboard and actually used 4 different patterned papers - oops!!   My sentiment is from the Cardz TV stamps' set "For the Birds".  I love having cards like this on hand for thank you's or just a note to a friend to remind them how much I appreciate them.

Now it's your turn!!  Just link your project up over at the Cardz TV BLOG and be eligible for the chance to win a set of Cardz TV stamps.  While you are there make sure to check out the rest of the design team's projects for this challenge!!
