Dr. Thank You - PPPR dt

Happy Monday!! Today is my turn to post on the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' blog and I have a card to share with you for my project.  I made this card specifically for a friend of ours who is a surgical nurse.  My middle daughter is thinking she wants to go into the medical field for her future career and our friend allowed my daughter to "shadow" her on two of her work days.  I hope that helps you understand my card better now -

I used one of the Dr. files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Check Up" cutting files set.

I used coloring similar to my daughter's skin and hair to make it look as though this will be my daughter in the future :-).  I finished it off with some Washi tape from We R Memory Keepers, some enamel dots from my stash and a sentiment from Craftin Desert Divas' "Short and Sweet Tags" set.

CDD Linky Party "Use Ribbon"

Time for a new linky party over at Craftin Desert Divas

This time the theme is "Use Ribbon"

One lucky winner will get a stamp set from Craftin Desert Divas.

One lucky winner will get a $25.00 gift certificate for regular priced files from Too Cute by Jessica.

Here is my project for the linky party -

My sentiment is from Craftin Desert Divas' "Baked With Love" stamp set.

My cute apron box is a Lori Whitlock file from the Silhouette store id#55100.  I used some cute patterned paper from My Mind's Eye "My Girl" collection for most of the box.  The polka dot paper is from Recollections.  My ribbon is also from Michaels.  I used the coordinating SVG set for the stamps to cut out my sentiment background.  This cute little box was able to hold several homemade M-n-M cookies inside :-)

You can purchase the Craftin Desert Divas "Baked With Love" stamp set HERE.  Though this was released at Christmas time, it is really quite a versatile stamp set and you will see me showcasing it on several projects this month.

Don't forget to link up your "Ribbon" projects - you can link up HERE.

Stirring Up a Big Thanks

Happy "middle of the week" to you my fellow bloggers!!  I have a cute thank you card to share with you today.

I have had this file (#55806) in my Silhouette library for quite some time now and when Craftin Desert Divas released their "Baked With Love" stamp set I finally had the perfect sentiment to go with this image!!

I used the coordinating SVG for this stamp set (which is free) and then stamped my sentiment with Momento tuxedo black ink.  This cute stamp set sold out when it was first released but is back in stock.  Though it was released at Christmas time, it can be used any time of the year!  There are so many different sentiments that work great with giving treats and/or homemade goodies to friends and family.  You can pick up your own set of these stamps right HERE in the Craftin Desert Divas store.

2 Peas in a Pod - PPPR dt

Happy Monday, today is my turn to post on the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' blog.  I have a card to share with you.

I have wanted to make a project with these "Little Veggies" cutting files ever since Lisa created them.  I thought the cute peas in a pod would be perfect for this sentiment I had in my stash.  I think this would make a perfect wedding or anniversary card.  In fact, I think I will end up using this for my in-law's anniversary which is coming up in March.

Other supplies used ~
Designer Paper - My Mind's Eye "Filled With Love" 6x6 paper pad
Sentiment - Cardz TV Stamps' "Foodie Punnies"
Twine - American Crafts
button from stash
homemade enamel dots

Tic Tac Toe - I {heart} you

Today is my turn to post on the Craftin Desert Divas blog and I have a card to share with you that I made for our "Love" theme week.  I went with more of a "CAS" (clean and simple) style card this time.  I used my silhouette design studio software to create a tic tac toe template and then did a print and cut with that.  To get my "x"'s and "heart"'s I used a sentiment from CDD "Simply Said".  There are several different ways to do this -
1.  mask off your letters using scotch tape
2.  use specialty pens (tombow) to ink right onto your stamp and only ink the image/letters you need
3.  cut apart your stamps - **this is actually what I chose to do and I can still place them side by side on my acrylic block and stamp them as a unit if I want to

I used a red copic marker to color in my hearts.  I then stamped the "I heart you" sentiment - which is also from the CDD "Simply Said" set - at the bottom using Momento tuxedo black ink.  My designer paper is from Doodlebug.

What I like about this card is that I could use it for my children or my husband or even a close friend.  Thanks for stopping by today!!
