Wuz Up?

Hello fellow bloggers!  I hope your week is going well:-)  I wanted to share with you a cute card I made using a kite file from the silhouette store (I believe it was a freebie a month or two ago) and a sentiment from Cardz TV  stamp set "FAQ".  The sun is from silhouette and was a free download I received when I bought my Cameo.  I embossed with my cuttlebug and the swiss dots and divine swirls embossing folders and I also used lots of stickles to bling this baby up!  Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a fabulous day!

Wish Big Happy Birthday

Hello fellow bloggers!!  I hope you are having a great Memorial Day weekend.  The weather has been cooperative here - no rain, sure I wish it was sunnier but I am grateful it isn't raining as our family has been outside a lot.  Saturday we ran a fun run 5k/10k at my hubby's work.  On top of that my youngest daughter has had 4 soccer games this weekend for a tournament she is playing in.  I wanted to share with you a card I made for our neighbor girl who recently turned 4.  I used the bubble svg freebie file from SVG Cuts and a rectangle from scal 3 to create this card.  The sentiments are from a Scrappy Moms set.  Most of the paper came from my scrap stash:-)

Cardz TV DT "Say I do" challenge

Hello fellow bloggers and a very happy Friday to you!!  Today the Cardz TV design team is sharing projects with you that have to do with weddings.  I have a co-worker and former dance student of mine that is getting married later this summer and I made my project with her in mind.  I used some of her wedding colors along with a file from SVG Attic to create this 3d box shaped like a carriage.  What young lady doesn't dream of a handsome prince charming to sweep her off her feet and "live happily ever after".  I created a flag for my carriage and stamped the sentiment from Cardz TV's "Be My Valentine" stamp set.  (goes to show you how versatile these stamp sets can be:-)

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check out the rest of the design team's projects as well as enter into Mary's giveaway for a free stamp set over at Cardz TV!!

Baby Congrats Card

Hello fellow bloggers, I hope you are having a good day!  I am still recovering from a very busy dance recital weekend!  We had 4 shows on Saturday and Sunday plus my hubby (who is a drama teacher) had his school play Friday and Saturday.  The weather here is rainy and stormy and all I want to do is nap:-)  I did manage to make this card to play along with the Mojo Monday Challenge this week.  I was also going to use it for my design team post over at Shabby Chic Stamps but I was informed this week that the owner is closing the business (along with the SVG Attic business).  I am a bit saddened by this change in my life but it is probably for the best because my life seems a bit busier than normal lately and God does have a way of putting these things into perspective.  I also designed this card with one of my hubby's coworkers in mind as she is expecting her first child in the fall.  It is too early to know the gender of the baby so I made the card with neutral colors.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are inspired and will join me in the Mojo Monday Challenge!!

Circus Happy Birthday

Happy Sunday fellow bloggers!!  I wanted to share with you a card I made for one of my youngest daughter's friends.  Her birthday party was yesterday and this is the card my daughter gave to her.

The circus tent and peanut guy are from Create A Critter cartridge.  The sentiment and the stamp frame are from Cardz TV's "Ticket Talk".  I like to decorate the insides of my cards a bit when I have time so I just added a border of yellow paper and used my Fiskars threading water punch.  Thanks for stopping by today!!

SVG Attic Design Team Day

Hello fellow bloggers!!  I hope your week has been going well.  I want to share with you a card I made using the car svg file from SVG Attic's "baby boy" set.  I sized my car at 5 inches and then created a shadow and welded 2 shadows together to create the card base.  I made my own steering wheel by cutting out a circle silhouette and piecing it together on the bottom side of the card to make it appear as though it was a steering wheel.  I added a sentiment from Shabby Chic Stamps, some "tires" made with black buttons and twine and doodled around the car with my white gelly roll pen from Sakura.   I made a couple of these cards to thank the people in my life that help carpool my children around to their "many" activities.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope I have inspired you today:-)

Shabby Chic Design Team day

Hello fellow bloggers!!  I want to share with you the cards I made for my oldest daughter to give to her teachers during "teacher appreciation week".  I was in a hurry so I opted for a print and cut option using my silhouette cameo and the designer edition software.  I used the "pop school" cut it set from Lettering Delights for the pencil.  I stretched the pencil a bit to fit my card best.   The cute background paper is from Michaels' Recollections.  The sentiment on the front is from Shabby Chic's "greetings" set and the inside sentiment is from the "father's day" set.  Add a couple of buttons and we are good to go:-)  I appreciate that my teenage daughter isn't embarassed to give her teachers cards!  I hope I have inspired you today and for more inspiration check out the rest of the Shabby Chic Stamp design team's projects here.

Mother's Day Purse

Hello fellow bloggers!!  I wanted to share with you the mother's day project I made for my own mother.  I used SVG Attic "Pretty Purses" set and used purse 1 from the set.  The flower is from Lettering Delights.  I added some pearls from Michaels Recollections.  The purse is made to match the card I made for my mother which you can see here.  I made some simple notecards to put inside of the purse.  I kept the notecards simple because my mom has a simpler style than me.  The pretty paper is from Michaels dollar bin section.

3x3 notecards using print and cut with Cameo

Hello fellow bloggers!!  I wanted to share a set of 3x3 notecards I made to give to my daughters' dance teachers for an end of the year thank you.  I used the print and cut feature on my Silhouette Cameo along with the Silhouette Designer Edition software.  This cute little ballerina file came from the silhouette store.  I added a pretty pink flower from Michaels to dress up the cards.  Thanks for stopping by today and I hope I have inspired you.

Shabby Chic Stamp Co DT day

It is my design team day for Shabby Chic Stamp company and I tried to be a bit more "shabby chic" for my project. I added some lace from the fabric store and I think the rough edges of my paper (I am burning through my paper trimmer blades faster than I like:-) add a "vintage" look too, LOL!  As for my coloring well - I began my crafting as a stamper way before copics and the gamsol technique were big names in the industry.  I would love to own some nice alcohol based markers but at the moment I am working with what I have - crayolas and a couple of prisma colored markers.  I don't have odorless mineral spirits (yet) so I tried baby oil instead.  I think it turned out pretty good for my first time using this technique.  I would love your feedback especially those of you who have been working with this medium for awhile.
The image stamp is from the "mother and child" set and the sentiment inside the card is from the "greetings" set.  This could make a cute mother's day card but I am going to use it as a card for my youngest daughter as she is a blonde:-)  Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget that right now all of the stamps at Shabby Chic Stamp Co are 50% off.

Cardz TV "Mom's the Word" Blog Hop day 2

Welcome back to day 2 of our blog hop!  I know several of my design team sisters have made more than one project for this hop too so you will want to make sure to visit each of the blogs again (if time allows, of course) to see their creations.  I made another mother's day card, this time for my mother-in-law.  It is a flower pot card which I am sure many of you have made before but if not there is a great tutorial at Splitcoaststampers along with a gallery of photos to get your creative juices flowing.  My card was made using a file from the Silhouette store by Lori Whitlock but I believe you can also buy the svg version on her website.  Now I have to say that for some strange reason I made this card rather large!  It is 81/2 inches tall when put together.  I will blame it on the "super moon" last nite - thus I made a "super-card", LOL!!  Thankfully my mother-in-law lives in town and I can give this to her in person:-)

I used a sentiment from Cardz TV stamp set "It's All about You" and cut the frame out with cricut cartridge "Elegant Edges".  I used some hand dyed crinkle ribbon made with smooch spritz along with liquid pearls, buttons and twine from the twinery to finish the look.

Don't forget about my blog candy HERE.  And remember the Cardz TV blog candy HERE.  Have a great rest of your weekend my friends - I really appreciate you taking time to stop by my blog today:-)

Cardz TV "Mom's the Word" blog hop

Welcome to the Cardz TV "Mom's the Word" blog hop.  You should have arrived here from Jeri's blog.  If you just happened upon my blog today and would like to start at the top of the blog hop then head on over to Cardz TV to begin and learn how you could win 2 Cardz TV stamp sets of your choice.  As you can probably guess by the name of our blog hop, the theme for all of our projects is "Mother's Day".  We have each created a project for you and have used a variety of  Mary's stamps on our projects.  I hope you will be inspired for your mother's day projects and will see how you can  use the Cardz TV stamp sets in a variety of ways.

I created my card for my mom using 3 different programs, LOL!  I used my Silhouette software to make the  "mom" window frame for the front of the card.  I cut out the word Mom separately and ran it through my Xyron and then coated it with some Martha Stewart fine glitter.  The rolled flower is a Lettering Delights cut and I used scal 3 to cut that out.  The leaves I downloaded from Birds Cards.  Lastly I used my cricut to cut out the sentiment frame from Elegant Edges.  I added 3 adhesive pearls and colored them yellow with my Bic Mark Its so they would match the inside of the card.  I embellished with the butterfly gem which I also colored with Bic Mark Its and added some liquid pearls along the side.

I have some Blog Candy for you today.  I am giving away this mat stack from K and company along with a Vera Bradley zip up wallet.  My mom collects (slight addiction) Vera Bradley and hands me down some periodically.  Most of them have barely been used or are even brand new.  I have decided to share my stash with one of you guys in honor of mother's day:-)  All you have to do is be a follower of my blog and leave me a comment with a way for me to get ahold of you if you win.  (U.S. shipping addresses only please)

Your next stop in the blog hop is Elaine.  Here is the blog lineup in case you get lost along the way.

Oregon Coast Scrapbook layout/SVG Attic DT day

Happy Friday my fellow paper crafters!!  I have a 2 page scrapbook layout to share with you today in honor of the upcoming National Scrapbooking Day.  Now be gentle with me because I am not an expert scrapbooker.  I have done a lot of scrapbooking but my style is more in line with the earlier Creative Memories pages and I usually do 2 page layouts and try to get as many pictures on a page as I can.  My scrapbooks replace photo albums and I want to make sure I am including as many photos from an event as I can.  Needless to say I am way behind on my scrapbooking mostly due to a major home remodeling project we started 5 years ago (we put a second story on our house all by ourself:-)  and also due to the purchase of my cricut(s) and cameo.  What??  Those purchases could slow down my scrapbooking??  Well, yes, because I have gotten caught up in making cards of course:-)!!  So here is my 3rd layout ever made with either a cricut or a silhouette cameo and using some svg files from SVG Attic!!

To create the borders and embellishments for my pages I used two different SVG Attic files - Cape Cod and Just Beachy.  Currently, all of SVG Attic's files are on sale for 50% off!!  This is in honor of National Scrapbooking Day - so hurry and get them while they are at such an awesome price!!

I hope you get to do a little scrapbooking yourself this weekend.  This will probably be all I get done as the weekend is already looking full with soccer games, work meeting, church and fun times with friends but if I can squeeze in some crafting in the midst of all of that, you know I will!!

Shabby Chic Design Team Day

I have a couple of cards to share with you guys today.  The first card I made for my daughter's 17th birthday which was on Sunday.  You already know that I am a dance teacher and you can probably guess from this card that my daughter dances:-)  In fact my two older daughters dance an average of 8-10 hours a week.  My youngest daughter is the "jock" and has chosen to play soccer and basketball instead for right now.  Anyhow, back to my card -  the tutu is an svg but I cannot remember where I got it from.  both of the sentiments on this card are from the "Greetings" stamp set which is such a versatile stamp set.

The next card I made using my gypsy and the Create A Critter cartridge.  I made 10 of these babies and used them for thank you cards for my youngest daughter's birthday gifts.  The sentiment on the front of this card is from the "You're Invited" stamp set.

The last I checked, Shabby Chic Stamp Company still had their stamps marked down 50% so run on over and get them while they are such a great bargain!!
