Cut It Up Challenge "Love is in the Air"

***If you are looking for the Cardz TV Stamps design team post, please go HERE***

Welcome back to another Cut It Up Challenge!!  This time the theme is Love - "Create a Valentine's Day project" - don't forget you need to include a die cut!!  My whole project is a die cut.  It is actually a file I purchased last year and never got around to making so this was the perfect opportunity.  My svg for this project came from Lettering Delights.  All of the cuts are from the same set.  My paper is from K and Co and I added some liquid pearls, my own crinkle ribbon, twine and some bling.  This mailbox is actually quite large, I tested it out and it can fit 3x3 sized cards easily.

Thanks for making it through the plethora of pictures!!
Now it is your turn!!  I can't wait to see what you make :-)  The prize for one lucky person is -

Now head on over to the Cut It Up Challenge blog to see more inspiration from the rest of the design team and to link up your project!!

Halloween Goody Bags

Happy Wednesday my fellow bloggers!!  I hope you are having a great week so far and that my East Coast followers are staying safe!  Our family has been sending lots of prayers your way!  Today I wanted to share with you the goody bags I made for my youngest daughter to pass out to her soccer and basketball teams.  I was inspired by Jin at Under a Cherry Tree to use the free font for October from Lettering Delights.

I used the letter "o" from LD's Franks Friends Alphabet and used the print and cut feature on my Cameo to cut out the pumpkins.  The treat bags are from Walmart in the jewelry making section - they are a nice size for a small treat.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps set "Oct 31st".

Cut It Up challenge #4: Create a Halloween/spooky themed project

***for the Cardz TV Stamps "Fall-o-ween Challenge" go HERE***

Welcome back to another Cut It Up Challenge.  This time the challenge is to create  Halloween/spooky themed project.  Don't forget that your project needs to involve a die cut.  I decided to use a file from SVG Attic to create this fun 3d witch's hat.  I am certainly no expert in the art of 3d paper piecing but I do enjoy a good challenge and gluing this cute little baby together was definitely that :-)  The designer paper is from a few random packs of Studio G papers I have in my stash.  The flair button is also Studio G from Walmart.  The button, ribbon and cardstock are all Recollections.  The great halloween twine is from Trendy Twine who happens to be this week's sponsor!!  I love this twine - I fear I may hoard it, I like it so much, LOL!  The rosette is cut from this Lettering Delights file.

Trendy Twine is the sponosr for this challenge.  Check out this awesome prize - don't you want to win this???  Well, get to it now, create a Halloween/spooky project including a die cut and enter the Cut It Up challenge HERE.  While you are at it make sure to check out the rest of the inspiration provided by the Cut It Up design team.

PDE Challenges "Play Theme"

***for the Cardz TV Stamps design team challenge go here***

Happy Friday my fellow bloggers!!  This is my last post with the Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges Design Team.  My life gets a bit frantic this time of the year as the dance studio I teach for puts on a Winter Ballet and we have rehearsals every weekend.  This is on top of my regular teaching schedule and my kids other activities.  That being said I decided to not stay for the next term but I hope to come back again in the fall because this group of ladies is so sweet and fun to work with.  I just love Janis!!  Anyhow, on to our challenge and my project.  This week our challenge is to create a project with a PLAY theme.  I decided to make a thank you card to give to one of my youngest daughter's friends.  This friend had her over twice this summer for some big and long playdates involving water slides, lunch and a sleepover.  I thought the mother deserved a BIG thank you!!

I used a Lettering Delights file from the "Let's Play" svg set.  I decided to go with a print and cut on this and used my Silhouette Cameo and the designer edition software to accomplish this.  I cut it out twice so that I could create a layered effect by cutting a few of the hopscotch numbers out and layering them with foam tape.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps set "Ticket Talk".  The twine is My Mind's Eye and the cardstock is Recollections.  My patterned paper is printed and is also from Lettering Delights.  Now it is your turn to create a project with a PLAY theme.  Head on over to the Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge blog to enter your project and to see what the rest of the design team created for this challenge.  This week's challenge is being sponsored by Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps.

Prize: 1 set of Cardz TV Stamps of the winner's choice
Winner (chosen by random.org) Announced: Friday, Sept 28th @ Cardz TV

So excited to show you what I made for this challenge!

I decided to make a "shaker card" and really wanted to use the Cardz TV Stamps set "Snow Day". I chose to use this cute snow bear from a Lettering Delights Cut Set "Nancy Happy Holiday". I used two different products for my "shakers" - some larger glitter and some white beads, both from Recollections. I added some more bling to my card with adhesive snowflakes and gems which I colored blue with my Bic Mark It pen. To bling up my card even more I used some stickles around the edge of my sentiment. My background paper has some sparkle too on the snowflakes but it is hard to see with all the other "bling" going on:-) This is my first ever shaker card and I fear I may have put too much glitter inside - my poor bear looks like he is in a blizzard, LOL!!  Now it is your turn - time to get your "bling on" and join us in the Cardz TV Stamps challenge - "Bling it Up!".  Go here to enter your project.

Hope Happens

Today I am sharing a card I made for a girl named McKenzie who has been in the hospital waiting to have heart surgery.  I have never met McKenzie but she is the best friend of one of my dance students who also happens to be a very close friend to both of my older girls.  McKenzie is a runner and for some crazy reason her heart is not healthy.  I do not know the details as all of the information I am getting is being translated by my teenage daughters from a teenager but I do know it has been a difficult road of trying to stabilize McKenzie so that she could have surgery.  My girls wanted to send a card to McKenzie to let her know we are praying for her and to keep her hopes up.

I used an svg from Lettering Delights set "Nancy's Party" which is on currently on sale so if you don't have this set you might want to go snag it today!  My cardstock is all Recollections and the sentiment is from Scrappy Moms.  I used a Peachy Keen stamp to give my cloud a smiling face.

I love to decorate the inside of my cards too:-)

What's Brewin?

Happy Monday my fellow bloggers!  Life seems to be calming down a bit as the school year winds toward a close and that means a bit more time in the craftroom, yeah!!  I am sharing a card with you today that was inspired by one of the sentiments from Cardz TV's newer stamp set "FAQ's".  I love the sentiment "what's brewin'?" the moment I laid eyes on this stamp set and couldn't wait to use it on a card.  My coffee cup is from a Lettering Delights cut set and the chevron border pieces are from here.  I hope you have a great start to your week!  Thanks for stopping by today:-)

Cupcake Birthday Card

I am trying to challenge myself to use some of my svg files and cricut cartridges that I have owned for awhile and have left neglected.  You know how it is, we are always excited about that next new thing (cartridge/svg set) that we forget to enjoy what we have:-)  This card is made using a Lettering Delights SVG from their J'Adore set.  I purchased this set during their last dollar days sale.  I created a shadow for the cupcake and welded two shadows together to make the card base.  The rest is pretty straight forward.  I did some embossing with my cuttlebug, added a little stickles and pen doodling, a sentiment from Cardz TV stamp set "Ticket Talk" and voila!!  I have a birthday card ready to go at a moment's notice.

I am going to enter this in the following challenges -

CardzTV Design Team Challenge #4: "Its A Guy Thing"

Welcome to another CardzTV design team challenge!!  The theme for this challenge is "It's a guy thing" and the challenge is to make a masculine card for any occasion using CardzTV Stamp Set "Its A Guy Thing".  I have had an idea in mind to use a new cut set I purchased from Lettering Delights during their dollar days sale earlier this month.  I used the  fishing cut it simple shapes set.   I created a shadow for each of the shapes using SCAL 3 and some scrap paper from Creative Memories for my 4 squares and popped each of the fishing shapes up on foam tape.  I used my score board to make two lines separating the sentiment from the cut shapes, added 3 similar colored brads, a sentiment from CardzTv and voila!!!  My hubby's birthday card is done early!!  (His birthday isn't until the end of May, but at least I am ready:-)

Mary will be giving away one of her stamp sets during this weekend.  Head on over to CardzTV to see the rest of the design team's projects and to join the fun of this challenge!!  While you are there make sure to check out all of the new stamp sets Mary has released - there are 6 new sets and they are fabulous!!

Birthday Card with CardzTV Stamps

I wanted to share with you a birthday card I made this week for my friend's birthday.  I used Lettering Delights cut set J'Adore for the cupcake platter.  The sentiment is from CardzTV's "Ticket Talk".   All of the paper is Recollections.  I cut this out on my Silhouette Cameo with Scal 3.

Warm Winter Wishes

Ironically it is actually warm where I live today.  The thermometer says 51 degrees and the sun is out which is a nice change.  The sun tends to hibernate in the winter here in Oregon.  On top of the beautiful day, there is the energy of knowing the Ducks won the Rose Bowl:-)
I have mixed feelings about getting back to our school/work routine.  I know my kids are growing up and there aren't too many "Winter Breaks" left for our household but on the flip side I look forward to the peace that routine can bring.  Enough rambling for now and onto the card -
I cut this out using my new Silhouette Cameo and the Eskimo Kisses svg set from Lettering Delights.   I used Stampin Up Dimensionals to pop up the snowflake in the center as well as the entire snowflake and also the sentiment.  I used some diamond stickles on my lavendar brad and embossed the top portion of the snowflake with divine swirls embossing foler.   The sentiment comes from CardzTV's "Home for Christmas" set.  I figure it is winter and we can still use this sentiment:-)  Thanks for stopping by today and have a blessed day:-)

Thanksgiving Pocket Card

I actually began this card last year but somehow along the way I decided it wasn't turning out the way I had envisioned and so it got thrown into the "scrap" pile.  I picked up some fall/thanksgiving themed svg files from Lettering Delights and decided to cut out the acorn and see if he could rescue this card from the scrap pile.  I added a stamped sentiment from Cardz TV's ticket talk stamp set and voila!!  I think it is usable now.  Decorated it a bit more with some embossing, buttons and twine and I am actually starting to like this card, lol!!

I am entering this in this week's Scraptastic Monday challengeCreate any fold card you like,But not a shape card or a A2 single fold.  Must include Ribbon and a cut from Die,Cricut or a Punch.

Sock Monkey Easel Birthday Card

My youngest daughter is invited to a birthday party today and the theme of the party is "Sock Monkey".  I used this cut from Lettering Delights Let's Play set to make a sock monkey birthday card for the birthday girl.  I put my monkey on an action wobble to make him more playful:-)  I also pleated my ribbon using scor-tape.  The card is an easel card.  I started with a piece of cardstock sized 4.25" by 11".  I scored it at 5.5" and 7.75".  I cut another piece of cardstock sized 4.25" by 5.5" to go on the top and to build my card top on.  Splitcoaststampers has a great tutorial on these.

side view of card

look closely and you can see my Action Wobble
doing the "monkey dance"

The sentiment is from a Scrappy Moms stamp set.  I also added some bling and used my Irock.  Have a great weekend!!

Feed the cat. . .

I made this card as a thank you for our neighbors who took care of our cat during our last camping trip.  My cat is quite the character.  He is huge!!  He is just under 20 pounds and I monitor his food intake but he is just plain big.  Needless to say he loves his food to be available at the correct times of day or he will begin to "talk" to me reminding me that his food dish is empty:-)  However he is also the biggest scaredy cat and hides when people come over.  So my neighbors joke that they wouldn't believe I had a cat except that they fill the food dish and come back later and the food is gone - the only proof of my cat's existence.
Anywho I used an svg from Lettering Delights sneak peek called Chicken Fat Alley Cat Cut Its.  I printed out the sentiment using Scal 2.   I added the phrase bubble by hand because it was an afterthought.

couple of cards using Lettering Delights svgs

Here are a couple of cards I have made over the last month using LD svg/cut it sets.  I just love how cute their svg/cut it sets are!  I am so inspired by Jin at Under a Cherry Tree.  I am not in love with the clam however.  I think I made him too big and just couldn't find the right stamp or sentiment to go with him, oh well!!

The paper is just scraps I have had in my collection for far too long:-)  I am challenging myself to use what I have!!  That includes exploring my cartridges and svg files for cuts I have never even used before.  I added stickles and pearls to the clam card.  "Hi" is from scrappy moms.  I used a corner punch on the kyoto cutie card.
