Cardz TV Challenge #11 - "Anything Goes"

Welcome back to another Cardz TV challenge!!  This time the theme is "Anything Goes".  I am always in need of some thank you cards so I decided to make a few for the challenge.  I used the cricut "Doodlecharms" cartridge for the watermelon image.  I welded two shadows together and layered the actual image on top.  The sentiment is from "Garden Greetings" set from Cardz TV stamps.  I used glossy accents on the seeds and doodled with a black gel pen.  I notched the end of the white paper with the sentiment and then curled it with a pen and glued it so that it stayed "wavy".

Make sure you stop by Cardz TV blog and see the rest of the design team's projects.  Once again Mary will be giving away one of her stamp sets so don't miss out!!

Dance teacher thank you's

Whew!!  The last week of school into the first week of summer have been busy and full of joys and sorrow too.  My oldest daughter was elected to the student body as "historian" and she received 4 academic awards too!  The sad news is that our cat passed away suddenly the 2nd day after school let out - apparently he had a heart murmur and died suddenly from cardiac failure.  He was a lover boy and is deeply missed.  I did want to share with you some of the projects I made as thank you's for some of the special people in our lives.  Today I am sharing the thank you project I made for all of my daughters' dance teachers (minus myself of course and yes I teach them too:-)  I got the pail and garden stake from the dollar spot at Target about a month ago.  Both the word "dance" and the stick figure ballerina are from the Silhouette Store and are cut out of white vinyl.   I gave each teacher a bucket and put a plant in it (usually a tomato plant).  We used the 3x3 dance cards I made awhile back and added some variety of chocolate goody with the card in a bag.  Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a blessed day!!

Candy Bar Wrapper Thank You

Happy Tuesday my fellow bloggers!  Today is the last day of school for all 3 of my girls.  I am excited for summer and the break from our crazy school routine but it is also bittersweet because it is an ending - the end of 4th grade, 9th grade and 11th grade.  Okay, enough emotion, let's get on to the good stuff - the cute project I made as a thank you for one of my students who has so graciously driven my oldest daughter to many of her dance classes and performances.  It freed up a lot of time for me and I am so grateful.  I used an svg file from SVG Cuts to make this but there is also a tutorial at Scor pal which doesn't require a cutting machine.  I used a sentiment from Cardz TV stamp set "FAQ"'s.  The flower is a Lori Wick file I bought from the Silhouette store.    I used several embossing folders, some pink pearls spritz and a pencil to shape and texture my flower.  The frame for the sentiment was leftover from an old Christmas paper pack, LOL!  I used velcro to close my wrapper and enclosed a candy bar and gift card.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope I have inspired you!!

Cardz TV challenge "My guy" day 2

I have another card to share with you today using Cardz TV stamp set "It's a guy thing".  This card is geared for the younger guy but could also be used for a girl too cuz it is just too cute:-)  I love the create a critter cartridge and that is where this cute little fish cut is from.  I cannot take credit for the fish cut - I received it from a swap I did awhile ago.  That being said, this card was quick to put together.  The water paper I picked up from Joanns and the yellow striped section is washi tape from Target.  I put the fish on an action wobble for some extra fun.  Thanks again for stopping by today!

Cardz TV challenge "My Guy"

Happy Friday fellow bloggers!  I hope you are having a great week!  Thanks for taking the time to stop by today:-)  The design team for Cardz TV stamps is hosting another challenge this week and this time the theme is "guys".  I used this as an opportunity to get working on my Father's Day cards.  Today's card is for my own dad.  A bit of background to understand this card - I have a Westie, my parents have 3 Westies and we grew up with 2 Westies. . .my dad loves these dogs and they love him back so I thought it fitting to put a Westie on his card.  The svg image of the Westie is a freebie I picked up off the internet awhile back and I don't remember where I got it or who I got it from, sorry:-(  The sentiments are from two of Cardz TV stamp sets - "It's a guy thing" and "It's all about you".   I encourage you to check out the rest of the DT's projects here and hope it gives you some inspiration for making masculine cards/projects.  As usual Mary will be giving away a stamp set so check out the details on her blog.

What's Brewin?

Happy Monday my fellow bloggers!  Life seems to be calming down a bit as the school year winds toward a close and that means a bit more time in the craftroom, yeah!!  I am sharing a card with you today that was inspired by one of the sentiments from Cardz TV's newer stamp set "FAQ's".  I love the sentiment "what's brewin'?" the moment I laid eyes on this stamp set and couldn't wait to use it on a card.  My coffee cup is from a Lettering Delights cut set and the chevron border pieces are from here.  I hope you have a great start to your week!  Thanks for stopping by today:-)
