PPPR and Peachy Keen "Thankful" blog hop

Welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' and Peachy Keen Stamps' "Thankful" blog hop. The two design teams have joined forces to share projects made using both companies' products and centering around the theme of "thankfulness".

You should have arrived here from Glorajean's blog. If you missed the beginning of the hop, you will want to go to Lisa's blog and start from the beginning. For my project I made a couple of cards -

I went with more of a CAS (clean and simple) style for both of these. I used the following supplies to create my cards -

Coffee mug - Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Java Great Day" cutting files
Watermelon - Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Watermelon" cutting files
faces - Peachy Keen "In the Garden" face assortment stamp set
sentiments - Cardz TV Stamps "Brew Ha Ha" and "Garden Greetings" sets

***Now for the blog candy -***

one lucky hopper will receive a $15 gift certificate to the PPPR store and another lucky winner will receive a $15 gift certificate to the Peachy Keen store.  The winners will be randomly chosen from all the comments from all of the blogs in the hop so the more blogs you leave a comment on the more chances you have of winning :-)

Thanks for stopping by today. Your next stop on the hop is Janice.

Hope Happens

Today I am sharing a card I made for a girl named McKenzie who has been in the hospital waiting to have heart surgery.  I have never met McKenzie but she is the best friend of one of my dance students who also happens to be a very close friend to both of my older girls.  McKenzie is a runner and for some crazy reason her heart is not healthy.  I do not know the details as all of the information I am getting is being translated by my teenage daughters from a teenager but I do know it has been a difficult road of trying to stabilize McKenzie so that she could have surgery.  My girls wanted to send a card to McKenzie to let her know we are praying for her and to keep her hopes up.

I used an svg from Lettering Delights set "Nancy's Party" which is on currently on sale so if you don't have this set you might want to go snag it today!  My cardstock is all Recollections and the sentiment is from Scrappy Moms.  I used a Peachy Keen stamp to give my cloud a smiling face.

I love to decorate the inside of my cards too:-)
