Here is my project for this challenge:

All of my images are from Doodlecharms.  I used my gypsy to weld the shadow layer together and create a bottle shaped card.  My sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps' set "FAQ's".  I got my inspiration for this card from Sherrie Scraps with Passion.  So now it is your turn, head over to Cardz TV to link up your project for a chance to win one of Mary's great stamp sets.

Cardz TV Challenge #11 - "Anything Goes"

Welcome back to another Cardz TV challenge!!  This time the theme is "Anything Goes".  I am always in need of some thank you cards so I decided to make a few for the challenge.  I used the cricut "Doodlecharms" cartridge for the watermelon image.  I welded two shadows together and layered the actual image on top.  The sentiment is from "Garden Greetings" set from Cardz TV stamps.  I used glossy accents on the seeds and doodled with a black gel pen.  I notched the end of the white paper with the sentiment and then curled it with a pen and glued it so that it stayed "wavy".

"I {heart} U" Blog Hop - Cardz TV Saturday, Feb. 11th

Inking It Up Crazy Design Team Project - Thankful Project

Kassidy challenged us this week to make a grateful/thankful project.  She wanted us to design it around something we are grateful for.  I chose to do a banner to display in my house because I am thankful for my home and everything it stands for - the love of my precious family who live inside the home and the friends who visit my home.   I plan to put this up on my piano when Halloween is over and the halloween decorations are put away.  Thanks for stopping by and make sure to check out Kassidy's blog to see what the rest of my design team sisters created!!

I used Eledgant Edges to cut out the scalloped square at 4.25".  The letters are from Storybook, the shorty holes function and are cut at 3.25".  The leaves are from Doodlecharms and the acorns are from Create A Critter.

3d Backpack and Backpack Card

Happy Monday Everybody!!  It is rainy here in the Pacific Northwest.  Gone are the Indian Summer days that I have so been enjoying:-(  Anywho, this past weekend my youngest daughter had a soccer game.  We had quite the fiasco the night before because we could not find her soccer jersey!!  Their team has uniform jerseys so it was very important to find!  Turned out one of the other girls had mistakenly grabbed it but after that I decided we needed to get a zip up bag to keep all of our stuff in.  Great minds think alike because immediately after winning their soccer game (yeah girls!) their coach presented them with personalized soccer backpacks!!  They were a gift from him with no financial help from the parents - what a blessing!!  So right away I knew we had to do some kind of a special thank you and this is what I came up with-

The team colors are red and black which explains my color choices:-)  I used an svg file that I got from here but it isn't necessary to have an svg compatable machine to make this - simply use the template from splitcoaststampers resources.  There is also a great tutorial there on how to put the project together as well as a gallery of ideas to help your creative juices!!  I am going to show you a few pics to help you with the assembly process.  I chose not to put a front pocet on my backpack as this is for a man and I didn't want to get too complicated or fancy with either of the projects.

Here are my pieces after cutting and scoring.

The shiny sections are the orange sticky tape I used
to glue the project together.

The splitcoaststampers tutorial suggested 36 inches of ribbon but
I only needed about 24 inches.

I used self adhesive velcro dots to keep the top closed.

 I wanted a card with plenty of room for all 13 girls to sign so this is what I came up with. 

I took a 4.25" by 12" piece of black cardstock and scored it at
4" and 2.5".  I added white cardstock to the interior of the card.
The folded up card will fit into an A2 sized envelope.

The backpack is cut from Doodlecharms.

I am using this project to enter for the design team call at My Craft Spot.  I have always enjoyed Kimberly's work and remember her from the old cricut message board and her generosity in sharing her files.  I would love an opportunity to work with her!!

Thank you for joining me on another blog hop!!  For today's project I chose the back to school theme.  My kids started school the middle of this week so I am still in the back to school mode.  I have wanted to make a crayon wreath for awhile now.  My youngest daughter is in 4th grade and I figured I better make one for her teacher now cuz she isn't going to want to give one to her teacher when she is in high school, wink, wink:-)  It was actually not as difficult as I feared.  I wrapped red ribbon around a styrofoam ring which I bought at Joanns.  I used my hot glue gun to attach the crayons.  I layered my cuts with a couple of shadows to make them a bit sturdier and then attached them to the wreath with the hot glue gun.  I looped some ribbon on the top to help hang the wreath.   I chose to use white vinyl for the teacher's name because it cuts better and yes, we call our teachers by their first name.  I am also entering this into My Pink Stamper's Pinkalicious Blog Hop challenge.

Ice Cream Card and 3 others

Last night I finally had some free time to "play"!!  I put together this card and 3 others.  Nothing earth shattering but it was some much needed crafting therapy:-)  I have not put any sentiments on these, I want to leave my options open for the time they are needed.  Most of my cards I do not layer too much because quite often I need to be able to mail my cards easily.  Still waiting for summer to show up in Oregon - I think it was here from about 5-7pm last night, lol!

I am entering the ice cream card in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #69, create a project with a cool treat.

The neighbor dog got in our house and ran over my blue and white polka dotted paper:-(  The card below is inspired by Cheryl over at Pink and Paper and some cards she has recently made, thank you for the inspiration Cheryl!!

Card for my husband's birthday and a great quote (prayer)

Sunday was my hubby's birthday.  I don't think it was one of his best ones unfortunately.  On the way to church a kind man driving in the car next to us informed us we had a flat tire.  So back home we headed, filled the tire with air and then we were REALLY late for church.  Came home and when he was fixing the tire he broke a stud.  Several hours later, stud is fixed and flat is fixed. (I think he is a stud:-)  But, we will need new tires before the end of summer.  Here is the card I made him for his birthday.  I should have stopped before the stickles but couldn't help myself, oh well.

My mother-in-law gave my dh a card with a bookmark attached and the quote on the bookmark was so good I wanted to share it with you all -

Lord, I have too much to do,

but it's all important.

Help me to set priorities

so that I don't feel lost

in the pace and the pressure.

Give me the wisdom

and energy

to accomplish what's necessary

without wasting time or effort.

And help me make

the best use of my day,

remembering that time

is a precious gift from You.
