You're Bee-utiful!! SAT dt

Hi there!!  Today is my turn to post over on the Stamp Anniething Blog and I have a fun fall themed card to share with you -

I went with a fall themed twist for my card today using the following to create my background -

The sweet image is Lorelei Bumble Bee and I stamped her with Obsidian Hybrid Ink and colored her with my Copics trying to stick to more of a fall theme with the colors I used.  The sentiment is from a Jaded Blossom stamp set and I again used Tangerine Hybrid Ink .  I am really enjoying these hybrid inks!!  They blend so easily - I did all of this on my Copic paper of choice which is Hammermill 110 lb cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Here is what I created with the new border stamps and inks -

For my first card I cut out a mask that allowed me to create a stenciled sky background in a circular shape.  I used "Carribean Sea" to create my sky background.  I then stamped the "Abstract Dotted Flowers" border stamp using "Birch" and "Heather".  I stamped and colored the image and sentiment from "Kelsey - Believe".

For my second card I used the "Abstract Flowers" border stamp with "Blossom" and "Freesia" inks.   I stuck with the same color scheme with my cardstock and copic coloring.  The image and stamp are from "Chloe - Pehea 'Oe".

Cany Corn Treat Bags - Carina Gardner guest post

Hi there my fellow crafters!!   Today I am posting on the Carina Gardner Blog and I am here today with a Halloween inspired project for you.

To create my Halloween treat boxes I used the following files from Carina Garnder -

I started off by opening up the Snowflake Favor Bag in my silhouette design studio.  I ungrouped everything and then resized the bag to 11.5 inches in height keeping the sizing "locked" so that the image increased proportionately in size.  I resized the layers for the sides of the bag too.  After I cut out the bag and the layers I glued those together and got to work on the candy corn swirl flourish.  I sized the flourish to fit the sides of my bag and then did an offset.  Since I used a striped paper for my bag I wanted to make sure the candy corn flourish stood out and didn't get lost in the busy background.  I used foam adhesive to pop my candy corn images up to give a bit of dimension to the bag.

I designed these to be given as a Halloween treat but they could easily be redone in fall colors to make it more of a "fall/Thanksgiving" themed treat bag.  I really like this treat bag and the versatility of it!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!  I hope I have inspired you today!

Pumpkin Spice Treat Holders - JB dt

Happy Monday!!  I hope everyone had a good weekend!!  Today is my turn to post over on the Jaded Blossom Blog and I have a fun project to share.

It appears to be officially "pumpkin spice season" now!!  Everywhere I go I see some new product advertising a pumpkin spice twist or flavor!!  I even found some of my favorite protein bars in Pumpkin Spice!! This gave me an idea to create a way to "gift" these treats to some of my friends.

To create my treat holders I used the following -

Arigato - SAT dt

Hi there!! Today is my turn to post over on the Stamp Anniething Blog and I have a project for our "theme week challenge" to share.
Just a reminder that this "theme week challenge" is Keep It Simple or CAS.

Here is my card for the theme week challenge -

To create my card I used the following I started by stamping the image from "Eloise - Arigato" onto some copic friendly paper.  I also created a mask for the image to protect it while I created my background.  I used the "Sashiko Abstract Stencil" and Shaded Lilac distress oxide ink.  As I blended my ink onto the paper I tried to make it heavier in the bottom left corner and then fade out as it moved to the right and top of my paper.  I did a bit of paper piecing on the dress as well as copic coloring on the image.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I adhered a few clear sequins.  I then die cut this layer out with Jaded Blossom's Card Mat Dies and using some fun foam popped it up onto my card base.

I hope I have given you some inspiration to join in the theme week challenge.

I thought I would share the details about my projects here though -

My first project -

I created a tag using the Kraftin Kimmie "Grateful Pumpkins" stamp set.  I used the Kraftin' Kimmie Mossy Meadow Mini Cube to create a tone on tone effect for my background using one of the leaf stamps from the set.  I stamped the pumpkin using the Mossy Meadow Ink Cube for the top portion and the Kraftin' Kimmie Pumpkin Patch Mini Cube for the bottom.

My second project -

I created a box card following a tutorial I found HERE.  All the background papers are from Doodlebug Design.  The cute little alien images and sentiment are from the Kraftin' Kimmie "Out of this World" stamp set.  I used 3 new ink colors from Kraftin' Kimmie -

 Stencils &  Dies!

`~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I created my background using some distress inks in fall colors.  I started with a layer of a lighter distress ink and then used the leaf stencil and added in some oranges, yellows and greens.  My New Year's Goal is to write down what I use when I make it so I can be better at sharing that with you ;) but I am pretty sure they are older colors of distress inks.  I used the "Hello" die from Stamp Anniething and cut it out with gold metallic cardstock.  The leaves are from our Day 1 sneak peek "Krissy".

 Have a great day!
