"Toto" thank you card

I wanted to share a quick (okay, let's be honest here. . . nothing I make is actually "quick" ) thank you card I made today.  I created this for my daughter to give to her classmate/friend.  My youngest daughter was recently cast as Dorothy in their spring school play.  Her friend brought her the cutest stuffed Toto animal as a congratulatory gift/momento.  So thoughtful. . .   anyway, my card uses a file from the Silhouette store for my dog.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV stamps "Heartfelt Wishes" set.  Thanks for stopping by today - hope your week is off to a good start!

Challenge #36 :  Include some type of MUSIC on your project

Welcome back to another Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge.  For my challenge project I chose to use music for my background paper - thus my designer paper choice.  This pretty paper came from Michaels awhile back in their dollar section.  I added a pretty frame from Birds Cards for my sentiment which is from a Cardz TV stamp set - "Be My Valentine".   The rolled flower is from Lettering Delights and the leaf flourish is from a teapot file I purchased from the Silhouette store.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the design team projects as well as enter your project in the challenge by going HERE.  This week's challenge is sponsored by Heather Ellis.  One lucky winner will receive 3 digital images.

Brew Ha Ha Blog Hope Day 2

I love this Cardz TV stamp set so much and it has inspired me to make so many projects, so today I am posting a few more to share with you.  If you missed out on my Day 1 project and my fun blog candy then click here.

Once again, I used a file from the Silhouette store to make this cute teapot shaped cards.  This is a cute file from Samantha Walker.  I used some glossy accents on the leaf flourish, added a few prima flowers and embellished with some silver liquid pearls.  The sentiment is on a tag shape from Bird's Cards and I have used some twine from My Mind's Eye.  The designer paper is K and Company's Watercolor Bouquet.  Of course the sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamp Set "Brew Ha Ha" which is what the blog hop this weekend is dedicated to

Guy Thank You Card

It seems like we all are challenged a bit when it comes to making cards for the male species but this time I think I "nailed it"!!  My hubby and I recently did some of our own concrete work (sidewalk and a driveway) and were fortunate enough to borrow some tools from a friend of ours who is a contractor.  We wanted to thank him and give him a gift certificate and my hubby suggested I make a card.  This is what I came up with - it is simple but effective I think!
The tools are from the Silhouette store and are Lori Whitlock files which can also be purchased in an svg format here.  The sentiment is from the Cardz TV Stamp set "It's a Guy Thing".  I decided to make a tall card and on the inside I hand wrote "thanks for letting us play with your toys, here is a gift to buy yourself some new toys" and I included a gift card to Cabelas.

Cardz TV Challenge #13 "Color Me Happy"

Happy Friday everybody and welcome back to another Cardz TV challenge.  This time it is a color challenge and the colors we are using are - marigold yellow, royal blue, deep purple and gray.  Black and white can be used sparingly if needed.
I find the trickiest part of these challenges isn't the color combos but somehow incorporating one of my Cardz TV sentiments with the color combo.  For this challenge I decided to use the Cardz TV Stamp set "It's a guy thing".   I used my Cameo to make my card and the surfboard files are from Christina Heeren.  All of my paper is Recollections and I embellished with some gray liquid pearls and my white gel pen.

The challenge runs August 17th thru August 23rd and you can link your project up here as well as view the rest of the Cardz TV design team projects for this challenge.  One winner will be randomly chosen from the entries and decided by using random.org.  The lucky winner gets a set of Cardz TV stamps!!  So, what are you waiting for??  Let's see what you can create with these 4 colors!!

floating frame and matching card

Happy Wednesday!!  I wanted to share my first attempt making a monogrammed floating frame with vinyl.  I created this for one of my former dance students and now currently a coworker who got married this past Sunday.  I purchased the split alphabet from Paper Pastime.  The frame is from Joanns.  I made a matching 5x7 card by printing the monogram for the front.  On the inside of the card I made a pocket to slide in a gift card.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV stamps.

Happy Birthday x2!!

Happy Saturday my bloggy buddies:-)  Yesterday I worked hard helping my husband with concrete work.  We put in a walkway alongside our carport and a few curbs to keep our paving stones in place.  After a hard day of working I am taking today off and having a bit of "therapy" - paper style!!  I needed 2 birthday cards for this evening (nothing like waiting until the last minute) for my youngest daughter.  She has a birthday party to go to for 2 of her friends' birthdays, thus the need for 2 cards.  I used my cameo and a few files from the store to create this card.  I stamped a sentiment on the inside from Cardz TV stamp set "ticket talk".

I am entering this in the following challenges -

Die Cutting Divas - Anything Goes
Little Scrap Pieces - Birthday challenge

3d flip flop box

Hello there blogging buddies!!  I hope your week is going well!  My youngest daughter has a birthday party to go to tonite and I was in need of some crafting therapy so I got out my supplies and sat down and made this 3d flip flop box to give to her friend.  This box is a free svg file I got from here some time ago and am just now making it.  I have seen several wonderful examples of this floating over the internet and mine is certainly not going to put any of those to shame but I am pleased with how it turned out and my daughter loves it which makes me happy!  We put a couple of the smaller presents for her friend inside.

day 2 cardz tv stamps design team challenge

Happy Saturday my fellow bloggers!!  I wanted to share another card that I made using the "for the birds" Cardz TV stamp set.  I found this cute Echo Park bird file in the Silhouette Store.  I wanted to try a more layered look for the background of my card as I have been seeing this done a lot lately and thought it was cute.  The background paper is from a $1 paper pack that I bought awhile ago from Target.  All cardstock is Recollections as well as the cute ladybug sticker.  Don't forget to link your project up for the "Anything Goes" challenge - you may be the lucky winner of a set of Cardz TV stamps!!

Cardz TV Design Team Challenge #3 - "The Three R's"

So for this challenge, Mary challenged the design team to create a project using one of her stamp sets and one or all of the "three R's" - ribbon, rick rack and rhinestones.  I love challenges because they get me out of my comfort zone.  I used this challenege as an opportunity to try out a file created for the Silhouette.  Thanks to Nia for your great owl file!!

I used CardzTV's "Ticket Talk" stamp set for my sentiments on the front and inside of the card.  Make sure you head over to Cardz TV blog to see how the rest of the design team tackled this challenge.  You will definitely find inspiration from all of these talented ladies!!  Also, Mary is inviting you to join us in this challenge and she will be giving away a set of her great stamps too!!

Warm Winter Wishes

Ironically it is actually warm where I live today.  The thermometer says 51 degrees and the sun is out which is a nice change.  The sun tends to hibernate in the winter here in Oregon.  On top of the beautiful day, there is the energy of knowing the Ducks won the Rose Bowl:-)
I have mixed feelings about getting back to our school/work routine.  I know my kids are growing up and there aren't too many "Winter Breaks" left for our household but on the flip side I look forward to the peace that routine can bring.  Enough rambling for now and onto the card -
I cut this out using my new Silhouette Cameo and the Eskimo Kisses svg set from Lettering Delights.   I used Stampin Up Dimensionals to pop up the snowflake in the center as well as the entire snowflake and also the sentiment.  I used some diamond stickles on my lavendar brad and embossed the top portion of the snowflake with divine swirls embossing foler.   The sentiment comes from CardzTV's "Home for Christmas" set.  I figure it is winter and we can still use this sentiment:-)  Thanks for stopping by today and have a blessed day:-)
