PPPR "Superhero" Blog Hop

Happy Saturday and welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Superhero" blog hop where the design team is showcasing superhero inspired projects made with PPPR files.  You should have arrived at my blog from Nanne's blog.  If you missed the beginning of the hop, you will want to head over to Lisa's blog.  I have a card that I made for the hop.  I made this card specifically for the neighbor kids - 2 boys and 1 girl - who rescued me from a mouse in my house.  They are my heroes and yes I am such a wuss that a 5 year old girl is not afraid of a mouse but I am :-)

Card Recipe -
Peachy Keen "In the Garden" face assortment stamps
"super" and "hero" cuts from Silhouette online store
sequins from dollar store

PPPR and Peachy Keen "Thankful" blog hop

Welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' and Peachy Keen Stamps' "Thankful" blog hop. The two design teams have joined forces to share projects made using both companies' products and centering around the theme of "thankfulness".

You should have arrived here from Glorajean's blog. If you missed the beginning of the hop, you will want to go to Lisa's blog and start from the beginning. For my project I made a couple of cards -

I went with more of a CAS (clean and simple) style for both of these. I used the following supplies to create my cards -

Coffee mug - Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Java Great Day" cutting files
Watermelon - Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Watermelon" cutting files
faces - Peachy Keen "In the Garden" face assortment stamp set
sentiments - Cardz TV Stamps "Brew Ha Ha" and "Garden Greetings" sets

***Now for the blog candy -***

one lucky hopper will receive a $15 gift certificate to the PPPR store and another lucky winner will receive a $15 gift certificate to the Peachy Keen store.  The winners will be randomly chosen from all the comments from all of the blogs in the hop so the more blogs you leave a comment on the more chances you have of winning :-)

Thanks for stopping by today. Your next stop on the hop is Janice.

"Party Animal" - PPPR DT post

I have a birthday card to share with you today for my Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' design team post.  I need to rebuild my stash of birthday cards as it seems I can never have enough of them.  Anyway, I have been wanting to use some more of the absolutely adorable "Birthday Critters" cutting files.  I chose this adorable turtle and picked colors to go with the My Minds Eye "Hip Hip Hooray" patterned paper I had in my stash.  I created my card base using a shape from the "Layered Labels 1" cutting files set.

Supplies used ~
stickles and sequins

Thanks for stopping by today!!  Don't forget to stop by the PPPR blog to see the rest of the design team's projects.

Halloween Door Hanger Treat Boxes - 3 Girl JAM DT

Happy Monday folks!!  I hope you had a great weekend and got a bit of craft time in for yourself.  I have a project to share with you that I made for my 3 daughters for Halloween.  My older 2 daughters are past the trick or treating stage so I wanted to "treat" them with some goodies of their own.  I haven't bought all the "goodies" yet so I am showing them empty to you but let me tell you there is a lot of room inside of these.  I created a shadow for the designer paper layers to help make my box stronger and I added an extra piece of cardstock to the bottom of the box to reinforce that area too.

I wrapped some 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon around the bottom of each box and tied it in a bow to finish it off.  I used the following 3 Girl JAM colors of ribbon for my project -
"Sunflower" and "Harvest Orange" from the 3GJ Harvest Bundle
"Goblin Green" from the 3GJ Spooky Bundle

Other supplies used ~
Cardz TV Stamps "Trick or Treat" stamp set
Lori Whitlock "3 cute Halloween set" from the Silhouette Store
