Day 3 Craftin Desert Divas October Release

Today is Day 3 of the sneak peeks for the October stamp release at Craftin Desert Divas.

We have 4 new stamp sets for this release and 2 new die sets designed by our own design team member Leah!

Today we are showcasing "Polar Pals" stamp set.

I have created a circle card using one of the images and one of the sentiments from the "Polar Pals" stamp set. I also used 2 of the dies from the new "Circle Dies" set for my background paper. 

To create my card base I just cut two 4.25" circles with my Silhouette Cameo and scored one of the circles close to the top and then used adhesive to glue the scored part to the other circle.

Welcome to the Neighborhood - PPPR dt

Happy Monday!!  I hope you had a great weekend!!  Today is my turn to post on the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' blog and I am sharing a "floral pick" I made to insert into a mum plant that I gave to my new neighbors.  The Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Home Sweet Home" cutting files worked perfectly for this!!  I cut out the tall house at approximately 61/2 inches high.  I used some fall colored washi tape to adhere a wooden skewer to the back of my house cut and inserted it into the plant.  Voila!!  A great welcome to the neighborhood gift :-)  I had plenty of room on the back to write a quick note too!!

PPPR "Fall In Love" Blog Hop

I created a scrapbook layout using the "Fall In Love" cutting file (which is the blog hop freebie!!) along with the "Fall Borders" cutting file for my leaf border along the bottom of my layout.  These photos of my daughter and her fiancee went perfectly with the blog hop theme :-)

CDD "Two For Tuesday" - Party Dies

Hello and Happy Tuesday!!  Today is "Two for Tuesday" over at the Craftin Desert Divas Blog where two design team members pick a stamp/die set and see what the other one came up with :-)  I am working with Saundra and this is my take on the challenge using the Party Dies.

I used the larger balloon to create a negative space for the top layer of my card.  I then die cut several of the other smaller balloons in a variety of patterned paper and popped them up with foam tape.  I cut my card front 3/4" narrower than my base.  On my base I adhered a small strip of gold hologram paper to the edge.

I mounted my card layer onto my card base with foam tape.  I also used the balloon string die and the bow die to finish off my balloons.  My sentiment is from the Say It Big stamp set and is stamped in black ink.  I added a handful of sequins from the Silver & Gold Sequin set to finish off my card.  Thanks for stopping by today!!   Make sure you check out Saundra's card!!

PPPR dt - Treadmill Thank You

Hey there, happy Monday to you!!  Nicole here today with a card to share with you.  I made this card for a sweet lady who just donated a treadmill to our family.  My 13 year old daughter has been bugging me about getting her a treadmill all summer long.  I am not comfortable with her running long distance outside on her own and I do not have the time or coordinating schedule to always run with her.  This weekend the problem was solved :-)  and then . . . a card idea was born!!

All of the images are from the Exercise Equipment Cutting files set.  I love everything about this set as I am a fitness instructor and exercise junkie!!  The treadmill and weights were so easy to piece together and I know this personalized card is just the ticket to say thank you for our new treadmill!!  I just used some stickers in my stash for my sentiment.  Of course, if I were my dt sister Shannon - I would have come up with some sort of cute pun for my sentiment!!  But, alas, we cannot all be so witty now can we ?! :-)

Here's what I've created for you...

I am loving both of these new die sets!!  Even better is how well they coordinate with an older die set - "Fancy Frame Dies".  I used both of the new die sets - "Mix It Up Dies"  and "Pocket Pieces HI dies"  -as well as "Fancy Frame Dies" for all of the layers and the tag on my card.  The image and sentiment come from the "Thankful Squeaks" stamp set.  I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color the image.  For a final touch I added several sequins from the new "Trick or Treat" set.
