CDD January Release Sneak Peek Day 4

Today is Day 4 of the sneak peeks for the January release at Craftin Desert Divas.  We are doing the sneak peeks on our Facebook pages this month so you will want to head over to the Craftin Desert Divas Facebook page to begin the sneak peek lineup.

We have 3 stamp sets, 4 mini stamps, 6 new sequin mixes and 2 new die sets that will be available in the shop starting this Friday! Today we are showcasing "Sweet Kisses" stamp set and "Scent" mini stamp set.

I have created a card for today's sneak peek using the "Sweet Kisses"  stamp set. I created this shaker card using one of the new sequin sets - "Sweetness Sequin Mix".  

Now I just want to say I am not the "shaker card queen" like some of my design team sisters are.  It seems like every time I make one a mess up somewhere and somehow but in the end I am pretty happy with the result. 

Both the image and the sentiment are from the "Sweet Wishes" stamp set.

I have created a card for today's sneak peek using the "Slow" mini stamp set. I also used several other CDD products on my card - 

I created my background layer using the "Fancy Frame Dies".  The layer with my turtle on it was created using the "Pocket Pieces HI dies" and the "Outdoor landscape dies".  My cloud is from "The Sky is the Limit" stamp and cordinating die set.

Here is what I made..

I used CDD's "Banner Dies" to create my card base.  I cut the top layer from a piece of white cardstock that I added a couple of strips of patterned paper to on the side.  The bottom layer I cut from a heavier white cardstock.  I scored the bottom layer about an inch from the top and used some strong adhesive to attach it to my top layer.  

I used the CDD "Got Coffee" stamp set for my image and sentiment.

I didn't add a lot of dimension to my card because I wanted to be able to mail this easily.  I used a masking technique in order to stamp my image four times to create the stacked coffee cups.  I colored my images with my Spectrum Noir markers.

Hippo Bird-day to You!! - PPPR dt

Happy Monday!!  Today is my turn to post on the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' blog and I have a fun birthday card to share with you.  I don't know about you but I never seem to have enough birthday cards on hand so one of my goals for this year is to make more birthday cards, LOL!!

To create my card, I used the following Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' files -
"Safari Love 2" cutting files - hippo and bird
"Party Items" cutting files - birthday hat
"Melting Ice" cutting files - puddle

I had some cute plaid paper in my scrap pile and decided to use that as my background since it appears plaid designer paper is going to be the "rage" this year :-)  I added a few enamel dots and the perfect sentiment from Craftin Desert Divas to complete my card.  Thanks for stopping by today!!

Here is what I created for the hop -

I was recently organizing my craft supplies and when I was working with my paper collection I stumbled upon this piece of scrapbooking paper.  I had bought this paper to scrapbook a specific event that had a country western theme to it - my hubby and I had attended a weekend country music festival a few summers ago.  I thought the colors in the paper would work for our color challenge today.  Here are some closeups (I find photographing layouts to be difficult) -

I used the "Cowboy Boot Card" cutting files for the pink cowboy boot.  The swirl and the flowers are from the "Friends Forever" cutting files.

The cowboy hat is from the "Cowboy Cactus" cutting files.

I didn't add a lot of dimension to my card because I wanted to be able to mail this easily.  I colored my images with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I embossed my sentiment with silver embossing powder.  I think this could make a perfect "thank you" card or a "thinking of you" card!!

Thoughts of You - CDD dt

Hello there!! Today is my turn to post over on the Craftin Desert Divas BLOG and I have a bright and cheerful card to share with you.  The weather here in Oregon gets so gray this time of year so I needed to pull out some bright colors to work with.

I used an image and a sentiment from the "Home Sweet Home" stamp set.  I just loved this stamp set from the December Stamp/Product Release!!  I also used an older stamp set -  "Just Bugcause" -  along with the coordinating "Just Bugcause" die set to create my cute little bee!

I used my Zig Clean Color markers to color in my images.  I also added a scattering of Craftin Desert Divas' sequins leftover from a few miscellaneous sets.  Thanks so much for stopping by today!!
