Mother's Day Purse Tote Bag - MSC dt

Hi there my crafty friends!!  I had a moment this weekend to get a head start on some Mother's Day projects and wanted to pop in and share my creations with you.  I created these Purse Tote Bags to fill with some goodies for both my mom and my mother in law.  

I used the My Scrap Chick "Trendy Tote Bag and Purse" file to cut these out.  The patterned paper is from Joanns.  I wanted to add a tag to the tote bags so I used another file from My Scrap Chick -  "Rubber Ducky Tag"  which is my favorite file lately to use for making tags. 

I used adhesive velcro for the closure so that the bag could be opened and reused.

I had the perfect sentiment from an older Cardz TV Stamps' set to add to my tags!!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!!  I hope I have inspired you with some ideas for Mother's Day or another special occasion!

Springtime Thank You card

April showers bring May flowers (so they say!!)  Well, if that is the case we should have a ton of flowers here in May!!  I decided to play along with the Craftin Desert Divas Monthly Mood Board Challenge and also needed to create a thank you card and this is what I came up with -

I drew my inspiration from the spring like flowers in the Photo inspiration - 

It was nice to be able to envision what spring should look like and create it - a much needed distraction from the constant gloomy, gray skies of the Pacific Northwest this year.  Hugs!!  and thanks for stopping by!!

Spring Birdhouses - My Scrap Chick DT

Happy Wednesday my crafty friends!!  I have a fun spring inspired craft project to share with you today!!  We keep getting glimpses of spring here in the Pacific Northwest and then we get even more glimpses of rain!!  So I needed to create something to remind me that sunnier spring days were on the horizon and this is what I came up with -

I used two different My Scrap Chick files to create these - 

Birdhouse Trio

and 

Country Village Small House Box

These birdhouse boxes can be used for a treat box too!!  I am probably going to use mine for decoration only but nice to have the option on hand!!  Here's another look -
