Hugs and Fishes - JB dt

Hey there!! Today is my turn to share over on the Jaded Blossom Blog.

I found the cutest reusable bag shaped like a clown fish!  Here in Eugene, OR we have banned plastic shopping bags so when you go to the store you either need to bring along your own reusable bags or you pay a nickel and purchase a paper bag.  Anyone else live where they do a similar thing?? Anywho, this reusable bag is perfect to tuck into your purse so when you are out shopping and forget to bring in a bag, voila! you have one ready to go :-) 

My tag is inspired by the bag!

Hi there!!  Today is my turn to post over on the Stamp Anniething blog and I have a bright and cheery birthday card to share with you -

My niece is my inspiration for this card!  She is a baton twirler so I thought this sweet image from "Stacey - Celebrate" looked a lot like a baton twirler. 

  I colored her outfit to match my niece's outfit ;)  

I used the "HB2U music die" and cut out some gold metallic cardstock.  The background paper has some specks of gold metallic in it too so the two really compliment each other.  I added some diamond stickles to the outfit and the baton to add a bit of shimmer.

Hi there and happy Monday to you all!!  Today is my turn to post over on the Jaded Blossom Blog and I have a fun treat idea to share with you -

Here's what I created -

For my first project I created a shaker card.  I used the "Diamond Dies" and cut out an opening in my base layer.  I also used two different sized diamond dies to create a frame for the opening out of some metallic paper.  The background is created using a stencil from Stamp Anniething and some distress inks and Nuvo glimmer paste.  I used the "Card Mat Dies" to cut out my background layer. I filled the shaker with glitter and sequins that coordinated with the colors of my backgound.  I stamped the sentiment from "Sparkle and Shine" onto the acetate using Stazon ink.  Lastly I colored up a gem from the "Gems" stamp set and cut it out and added a bit of sparkle with my Spectrum Noir sparkle pen.

For my second project I made a treat that I thought would be a perfect party favor or perk up for friends.  I used the "Luggage Tag Dies" to cut out my tags and then stamped onto the tag with one of the  "Friends Are Rare" stamps and colored to coordinate with the ring pop treats.

Stamp Anniething July Release Day 3

Hi and welcome to our July Release!

We have three new adorable and fun stamps for you to help you get ready for this month!

I used some distress inks to create my sky background and then cut my background out using the "Card Mat Dies" from Jaded Blossom.  I created my land using the new Stamp Anniething "Circle Reverse Dies".  I added a palm tree cut out from the Stamp Anniething "Palm Tree Die" and some grass from the Stamp Anniething "Grass Dies".  My image is colored with copic markers and I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.

I used the "Falling Heart" stencil to create my background along with "Spiced Marmalade, Worn Lipstick and Squeezed Lemonade" distress inks.  I used Jaded Blossom's "Card Mat Dies" to cut it out after I was finished.  I colored my image up with my copic markers and for my sentiment I used the "Hugs" die from Stamp Anniething.  I cut the word out 3x - 2x in black and 1x in bright yellow and did an offset with the black and yellow to help the word stand out from the background more.  I finished up my card with some adhesive gems.

I used the "Diamond Ball Crosshatch" stencil along with a mixture of Nuvo Moonstone glimmer paste and Wild Honey Distress Ink to create my background.  The background layers are cut out using the Jaded Blossom "Scallop Rectangle Dies 1" and "Rectangle Dies 1".  I colored the sweet image with my copic markers - fun fact:  my ballet class were the Indians from the Peter Pan ballet and there costume looked a lot like this ;)!!
