Mermaid Slim Line Card - SAT dt

Hello my crafty friends!!

 Starting to feel like a mermaid over here in the Pacific Northwest 

with all the rain we are getting this week!! 

Here's a card for some mermaid inspiration ;) -

I created the textured background using some Azure Hybrid Ink mixed with moonstone Nuvo Shimmer Paste and the Diamond Ball Cross Hatch Stencil and shared it on a Facebook Live I did recently in the Stamp Anniething Stampers group.   

I used a variety of Distress Oxide Ink colors on some white cardstock to create the colors for the coral.

I love using stencils to dry emboss!! If you haven't tried it yet I highly encourage you to give it a try!!

I created a heart clip using the Fancy Heart Die and then glued a clothespin to the back of it.  I figured it was a great way to close up the treat bag but could also double up as a planner clip for the recipient too.

I had some fun with the "Arrow Stencil" and some Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Inks.  I colored the cute little gnome image with my Copic markers.  The hearts came from the "Fancy Heart Die" - I love that it cuts out a bunch of smaller sized hearts that are perfect for embellishments.

Here is what I created for today -

I used the new "XOXO stencil" and some pink foil to create a fun background.

I use decofoil transfer gel and my laminator to do this.  

After creating my background I used the "Scallop Caddy Die" to cut out the treat box.  

I also used the "Heart Dies 2" and the new "Fancy Heart Die".

The sentiment is from the new "Love You Lots" stamp set.

Annie's Garden preview day

Happy Saturday my crafty friends!! 

I am excited to share with you a card I created using a stamp set from the new release of "Annie's Garden" - a division of Stamp Anniething.  The images were created by Ron Kropf, dt member Stephen's father, and they are gorgeous!!  On today's card I tried my hand at watercoloring using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  I have hardly used these since I purchased them and used this opportunity to pull them out.

Stamp Anniething January Release Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of the Stamp Anniething January Release!!

This release is filled with all things "Viking"!! 

The release contains 3 new stamp sets with coordinating outline dies; a brand new stencil; a brand new word die (new style too!!), and a brand new builder die set!!

Here is what I created for day 3 -

On today's card I used the new "Gale - You Slay Me" stamp set and outline die.  I colored the image in with my copic markers.  I used the new "Norse Stencil" on my background.  If you saw my card from yesterday you will recognize the foiled section of the background.  I also added in a few dies cuts using the "Desert Dies".  

The image and sentiment were stamped with Stamp Anniething's "Obsidian" hybrid ink cube and I used "Pecan" hybrid ink on part of my background.

Welcome to Day 2 of the Stamp Anniething January Release!!

This release is filled with all things "Viking"!!

Here is what I created for day 2 -

On today's card I used the new "Liv - All I'll Ever Mead" stamp set and outline die and the new "Norse Stencil".  I used some gold foil along with Decofoil transfer gel, the stencil and my laminator to add some shine to my card.  The background paper is from the "Autumn Life" paper pack.

The image and sentiment were stamped with Stamp Anniething's "Obsidian" hybrid ink cube.

Stamp Anniething January Release Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of the Stamp Anniething January Release!!

This release is filled with all things "Viking"!!

Here is what I created for day 1 -

On today's card I used the new "Torin - You Are Brave" stamp set and outline die; the new "Viking Ship" builder die set along with some older products - the "Wave Edge Stencil" and Stamp Anniething Hybrid Inks in Clear Skies, Caribbean Blue and Obsidian.

To create the texture on my ship I used a Vintage Photo distress ink pad and dragged it over the top of the ship once I had cut it out.

Winter thank you cards - JB dt

Happy first Monday of 2021 my crafty friends!!

Today is my turn to share on the Jaded Blossom Blog and I am sharing 

a couple of thank you cards I created -

I started by embossing several different snowflakes from the Jaded Blossom "Snowflakes" stamp set using white embossing powder.  Next I did some distress oxide ink blending using 3 different colors from a color family beginning with the darkest at the top of my panel to the lightest at the bottom.  I purposely left some white space in the bottom right corner to help highlight my sentiment. 

After I was done with the inking I rubbed off any ink from my embossed snowflakes using a microfiber cloth.  I used some perfect pearls and a spritz or two of water and then splattered the mixture over my cards to give them some shimmer.  I backed the panels with some silver shimmer cardstock to pull in more "glitz".  Lastly I cut out the Jaded Blossom "Large Snowflake Die" with some silver glitter paper. My sentiment is from the Jaded Blossom "Hello Winter" stamp set and I stamped it using Versafine Black Onyx ink.  

Winter has only just begun and I thought these winter themed thank you cards would be perfect to send off for some post Christmas thank yous!!
