Welcome Spring - JB dt

Hi there!!  Today is my turn over on the Jaded Blossom Blog and I have a spring gift idea to share.  I know St. Patrick's Day doesn't technically fit into spring but I always think of it as the beginning of the season ;)  I thought it would be fun to give my daughter a set of green socks so she (and a few friends) would be set for their green on March 17!!

I started by using the Ric Rac Topper Die to cut out my green cardstock.  I then used the new Spring  Banner Dies to create my shamrock border and finally I embossed my sentiment from Follow the Easter Bunny stamp set in gold.  I then adhered a mix of green and gold sequins from my stash.

Jaded Blossom February Release Blog Hop

Hey Everyone!  Welcome to Jaded Blossom's February 2018 Release Blog Hop.  

Now if you're here from Stacey you're in the right place, if you're just passing through start at the beginning because you don't want to miss a thing.  I also have the complete line up at the bottom. Here is what I made:

I started off by cutting out a seed packet using a file from the Silhouette online store.  I stamped and embossed in white a background with a few images from the "Flower Cluster" stamp set.   I then stamped in black ink a few flowers and leaf clusters from the same stamp set.  I also stamped a sentiment from the "Follow the Easter Bunny" stamp set and a couple of butterflies from  the "Happy Spring" stamp set.  I colored the images in with my copics and cut them out with my Scan n Cut.  I cut the sentiment out with the "Rectangle Dies 1" and backed it with a yellow layer cut from the "Scallop Rectangle Dies 1".

Jaded Blossom February Release Day 5

Welcome back to another sneak peek for the Jaded Blossom February Release.  We are on Day 5 friends!!  Hope you have been enjoying all of the sneak peeks so far!!  Make sure to visit the Jaded Blossom Blog to see the rest of the design team's inspiration.  Today we are revealing two new stamp sets - "Spring Origami" and "Flower cluster".

To create my card I started out with a piece of Strathmore Bristol paper and stamped the rose images from the new "Spring Origami" stamp set with Versamark ink and then embossed in white.  I used my Zig markers and a water brush to color in the images and the background.  After everything dried I went over the flowers with Wink of Stella to give them some shimmer.  I stamped another set of flowers with Versafine Black Onyx ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  These flowers I fussy cut and used the larger one on the front of my card and popped it up with foam tape and put two of the smaller roses on the inside of my card.  My sentiment is from the "Mi Amore" stamp set.  I am actually going to use this card for a wedding card so that is why I chose this particular sentiment.  Lastly I added some sequins to the card.

Make a Splash - SAT dt

Hi there!  Today is my turn to post over on the Stamp Anniething Blog.  I've got a  project to share with you that I created for our current theme week challenge - "Make a Scene".

I used "Audrina - Make a Splash" as my focal point.  I knew I wanted to create a water scene for her so I used a couple of dies and some masking paper along with several different distress inks to create my beach background.  I added some clear Nuvo drops to give the effect of bubbles in the water.  I also stamped, colored and fussy cut a few extra starfish to add as embellishments.  Lastly I used a scallop rectangle die to cut out my scene layer and then popped it up on some fun foam and glued to my card base.

Jaded Blossom February Release Day 4

Welcome back to another sneak peek for the Jaded Blossom February Release.  We are on Day 4 friends!!  Hope you have been enjoying all of the sneak peeks so far!!  Make sure to visit the Jaded Blossom Blog to see the rest of the design team's inspiration.  Today we are revealing a new stamp set "Happy Spring". 

I created my Easter treats using the "Luggage Tag Dies" for my tag base.  I then used the "Happy Spring" stamp set for my image and sentiment.  I loaded up several of the "1x8 clear bags" with jelly beans and attached my tag by punching a hole in the top of the bag and threading the ribbon through it.

It's time for the Jaded Blossom February Release!!  I am so excited for you to see all of the new "goodies"!!  There are 6 new stamp sets and 1 new die set along with a special "freebie" stamp set.   Today we are sneak peeking one of the stamp sets - "You Are Succulent".

I created my card by doing a bit of stamping and masking of several of the cute images and a sentiment from the "You Are Succulent" stamp set.  I then colored them with my copic markers and cut out the image with my Scan n Cut.  I created the scalloped layer using the "Scallop Rectangle Dies 1" and the "Rectangles Dies 1" .  I cut the scallop layer first and then cut out a rectangle to create the scallop border.

For today's card I chose to use some pattern paper in colors that coordinated with my copic colored image.  I stamped the sentiment onto a label shape I cut from a Craftin Desert Divas die.

Stamp Anniething February Release Day 2

Hi and welcome to our February Release!

For my card today I used SVG Cutting File's "Postage Stamp Card Base" to create my card base. I added an extra layer of cardstock behind my pattern paper by doing an offset of the rectangle in my silhouette studio software.  I also did this on the inside of the card to help make my card stronger.  The cute heart postage is #7628 from the Silhouette Online Store and I  sized it to fit the front of my card.
