One More Graduation Card - JB dt

 

Happy Monday my crafty friends!!

Today I am sharing a graduation card I created - yes graduations are still going on here!!

I am in Oregon and the University just had graduation last week and 

most high schools finished up about the same time too.  

Seems we are often a bit later than the rest of the country.

It is officially summer break for us now.

Anywho I had one more grad I needed to get a card off to so I thought 

I would share the card I created for him -

 

I used the following Jaded Blossom products on my card today -

Gnome Dies
Gnome Dies: School Add Ons

Gnome Dies: Patriotic Add Ons

Stitched Circle Dies

Happy Graduation

Happy Graduation Outline Dies

I used the Gnome Dies: Patriotic Add Ons to cut out the stars from gold paper.

I also added a shadow layer under the sentiment with some gold paper.  I feel this helps the sentiment stand out from the busy background paper better.

Jaded Blossom June Release Blog Hop

Hey Everyone!  Welcome to Jaded Blossom's June Stamp Release Blog Hop.  

Now if you're here from Lee-Ann you're in the right place, if you're just passing through start at the beginning because you don't want to miss a thing.  I also have the complete line up at the bottom. Here is what I made:

I created a double easel card!! This was an easy card fold to make - the work was just cutting out all the die cuts ;) I will link a tutorial for this style of card fold in case you are interested to try one too!!

Here is the tutorial I followed.

I used lots of the new products from this release on my card!!

I created the barn using the new "Octagon Dies: Farm Add Ons".  

I also used the new "Farm Fence Dies", "Farm Scenic Dies", "Gnome Dies: Cowboy Add Ons", "Howdy Gnomie" stamp set and also the "Howdy Gnomie Outline Dies".

In addition to those new products I also used the "Spring Dies" for the grass.

The card folds up to roughly an A2 size.  I have a bit of overhang from my die cuts so will probably need a wee bit bigger envelope ;)

I love making easel cards!! They are so easy and they work perfectly when you have a larger

image that you are using for your focal point.  This allows you to put your sentiment on the inside yet when the card is in display, both the sentiment and image can be seen.

I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest and decided to recreate it using

all Jaded Blossom products.  Here is where I got my inspiration from.  

For the base of my card I used the Card Mat Dies.

For the collar and the pocket I used the Card Layer Dies 1.
