For our second project on Kassidy's design team we were asked to make a project using a font cartridge or a phrase from a cartridge. I chose the latter and made this cute card which I gave to my daughter on her birthday. (Monday:-)
Card Recipe:
phrase - Paisley Cartridge
hanger - Everyday Paper Dolls
dress - Gypsy Wanderings
designer paper from my stash (old stuff:-)
cardstock - Recollections
flowers - Primas

Ruby Tuesday Scripture Card
I made this card for my Aunt who is just getting out of the hospital after having some health issues. I used a Ruby Tuesday Scripture from Dee's Bugaboo Boutique for the sentiment. The frame and flower are from a freebie svg set I got My Grafico designed by Sherry K. The beautiful background paper is from K and Company.

Feed the cat. . .
I made this card as a thank you for our neighbors who took care of our cat during our last camping trip. My cat is quite the character. He is huge!! He is just under 20 pounds and I monitor his food intake but he is just plain big. Needless to say he loves his food to be available at the correct times of day or he will begin to "talk" to me reminding me that his food dish is empty:-) However he is also the biggest scaredy cat and hides when people come over. So my neighbors joke that they wouldn't believe I had a cat except that they fill the food dish and come back later and the food is gone - the only proof of my cat's existence.
Anywho I used an svg from Lettering Delights sneak peek called Chicken Fat Alley Cat Cut Its. I printed out the sentiment using Scal 2. I added the phrase bubble by hand because it was an afterthought.

Inking It Up Crazy Design Team Post
So today is the day Kassidy is introducing us as her current design team. She asked us to make and present a project that represented our style. I think my style is evolving but in general I like to keep it fairly simple. I often forget to "ink" the edges or add extra layer to my stuff cuz I am in a hurry. I feel like the blogs I subscribe to and the information I get from the cricut message board help create my style. I become more creative because all of you are so creative so thank you so much for sharing your creativity!!
This card was made using the Wedding Solutions Cartridge. One of my dance students got married last weekend and I made the card for her. The design paper is from an old Target dollar section paper pack. The gold paper is also found at Target in the dollar section of the craft aisle. It cut well:-) on my cricut. I pleated the ribbon using red sticky tape and added some Recollection pearls. The sentiment is from the $1 bin at Michaels. (Can you tell I craft on a budget?)
Thanks for stopping by today and head over to Inking It Up Crazy to see the rest of the design team posts - you will not be disappointed!! An update on the dead cricut (see my previous post to learn more) . . .provocraft will replace it with a refurbished one but it will not be plum like my current one, sniff, sniff

My expression just died!!
Help!! Call 9-1-1!! I think my expression just died. I have the plum one from Walmart Black Friday 2010. I had just finished a cut and was talking to my hubby when we heard a weird noise and then nothing. I looked at my E and the screen was black. I tried plugging it in a different outlet - no luck. Anybody else experience this!! For all the money we invest in these babies they ought to hold up better than that!! I will call PC tomorrow but would appreciate any advice too:-) Keep you posted. Good news is I still have my baby bug!

couple of cards using Lettering Delights svgs
Here are a couple of cards I have made over the last month using LD svg/cut it sets. I just love how cute their svg/cut it sets are! I am so inspired by Jin at Under a Cherry Tree. I am not in love with the clam however. I think I made him too big and just couldn't find the right stamp or sentiment to go with him, oh well!!
The paper is just scraps I have had in my collection for far too long:-) I am challenging myself to use what I have!! That includes exploring my cartridges and svg files for cuts I have never even used before. I added stickles and pearls to the clam card. "Hi" is from scrappy moms. I used a corner punch on the kyoto cutie card.
