***Some of you may recognize this post from last week as I was a week early on this project:-) Here it is again in hopes that others of you were too busy with the Thanksgiving preparations to notice it last week and it will feel "new to you", lol!***
Time for another project using svg files from DtsArts. I love these 2 svg files that Dardi created. One will make your typical pouch to fit a packet of hot cocoa inside and the other is a 3d mug that can be filled with all sorts of goodies. Both are quick and easy files to put together. I do suggest a strong glue for the 3d mug especially if you are filling it with candy.
You can cut this one out with the handle on either side. My paper was only printed on one side so to make the handle have patterned paper on both side I turned my image upside down and slid it to the end of the mat so it only cut the handle part. I then glued this onto the complete cut out mug and put it together after that.

Christmas Cardinal Card - SVG Cuts
This card was made using a free svg file from SVG Cuts. It matched this great Christmas paper I must have picked up last year so I just had to put the two together:-) I used some more of my hand dyed crinkle ribbon. I am really having fun experimenting with that stuff!! The sentiment is from CardzTV's "Home for Christmas" stamp set.

Thanksgiving Pocket Card
I actually began this card last year but somehow along the way I decided it wasn't turning out the way I had envisioned and so it got thrown into the "scrap" pile. I picked up some fall/thanksgiving themed svg files from Lettering Delights and decided to cut out the acorn and see if he could rescue this card from the scrap pile. I added a stamped sentiment from Cardz TV's ticket talk stamp set and voila!! I think it is usable now. Decorated it a bit more with some embossing, buttons and twine and I am actually starting to like this card, lol!!
I am entering this in this week's Scraptastic Monday challenge - Create any fold card you like,But not a shape card or a A2 single fold. Must include Ribbon and a cut from Die,Cricut or a Punch.

Cardz TV Design Team's 1st Challenge - Just My Style
T.G.I.F.!! Today is the first post for Cardz TV's new design team. Our first project is to present "our style". I am not completely sure what my "style" is but I know what it isn't, lol!! I do like to keep things neat and fairly easy but I like to mix up the direction of my card. I typically use an A2 sized card for my projects and include some embossing, ribbon, bling, glitter and gel pen doodling.
For today's card I used the cut from Winter Frolic and cut it at 3". I used an embossing border from Provo Craft. The ribbon is one of my first attempts at making my own crinkle ribbon. The pearls are from Recollections. My background paper is an oldie from my stash and the cardstock is all Recollections. My sentiment is from Cardz TV stamp set "Home For Christmas".
Make sure you head over to Cardz TV to check out all of the design team's projects and get to know their style. Mary is offering some blog candy too - a stamp set from Cardz TV!! I really am blessed to be working with this talented group of ladies:-) They inspire me to grow and challenge myself in my creativity and they are also so sweet and caring!!

Inking It Up Crazy Design Team Project - "Fun Fold Card"
This week Kassidy challenged her design team to try a new card fold for our project. I decided to try a side step card and followed the tutorial over at Splitcoaststampers. The card itself is not too difficult to make but the decorating of it was a bit more time consuming. However, I feel it was time well spent (it is afterall my "therapy" time:-) and I am quite pleased with the end result. All of my cuts are from Simply Charmed and I used a stamp from My Pink Stamper. The designer paper is from last year's Target dollar bin paper. I embellished it with Christmas twine from Doodlebug and some bling.
Don't forget to head over to Kassidy's blog to see the rest of the design team's projects. Also, challenge yourself to try a new card fold - it is always fun to try something new and creatively satisfying too:-)

DtsArt Design Team - Reindeer SVG
This week the design team got to play with Dardi's new reindeer svg. He is so cute with all of the jingle bells around his neck. I decided to make him into a reindeer shape card by creating a shadow and copy/paste and weld together. I love shaped cards, don't you? Please check out Dardi's blog to see what the other design team members did with their projects and don't forget you can purchase the svg file for yourself here. Don't delay, the file is on sale right now!
