PPPR "Oh Snap" Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Oh Snap" blog hop!!  You should have arrived at my blog after visiting the lovely Nanne.  If you missed the beginning of the hop, you will want to head to Lisa's blog.

There is a special freebie file available for free only today and tomorrow (after that it can be purchased in the PPPR store).  The link to the freebie is on Lisa's blog.

Today's blog hop theme is "Oh Snap" and the design team will be showcasing projects related to photos/cameras/memories using Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' files.   Here is what I created for the hop -

I created a shaker card using PPPR's "Smiley Camera" cutting files.  I omitted the smiley face and cut 9 layers of the outer ring and then glued them together.  I also cut a ring out of "foam" to add some extra height so that the sequins would have plenty of room to move around.

Here is a closeup of the layering I did to create the shaker portion of my card -

To create my card I used the following file from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' Store -

My sentiment is from Craftin Desert Divas "Say It Big" stamp set.

Banner for My Daughter's Birthday - CDD dt

Hi there, today is my turn to share on the Craftin Desert Divas BLOG.   I would like to share with you a project that I recently made for my daughter's 20th birthday.  I created this banner to hang up in our house for her special day and what I love best was how quick and easy this was to make using some of my favorite products from Craftin Desert Divas -

To create the base for my banner I used the Craftin Desert Divas "Banner" die set.  I used the largest banner die to create my banner.  In a manner of minutes I had all of my backgrounds cut out.

Next I glued down a doily from Michaels and then used some foam tape to mount my letters.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out my letters and chose a fatter font (don't remember which one I used, sorry).  I adjusted my letters so that they were all about 2.5 inches high. After that I punched a hole in the top corner of each banner and threaded my ribbon through.  I added a bit of adhesive to help hold my ribbon in place on the back and the front corners of each banner.  For a final bit of decoration I adhered a Craftin Desert Divas "Butterfly Wishes" sequin to each letter and put a drop of liquid pearls silver in the center of the butterfly.

 Here are some closeups -

My daughter is getting married a year from this July so I plan to save her banner and re-use it for her bridal shower.  Thanks for stopping by today!!

Mother's Day Card - PPPR dt

Hello there, today is my turn to post on the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons'  BLOG. Today I have a Mother's Day card to share with you.

I have to share with you that my inspiration for this card came from the last PPPR blog hop Facebook header.

There is something about watering cans and flowers that always draws my eye.  I must confess my actual green thumb abilities are sorely lacking but at least I make up for it with paper, LOL!!

To create my card I used the following Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' cutting files -

My sentiment is from Craftin Desert Divas "Happy Celebrations" stamp set and my butterfly is from the Craftin Desert Divas "Butterfly Wishes" sequin set.
Though it is a Mother's Day card, it also fits in well with our monthly challenge - "Go Green".  Don't forget to add your projects to the challenge!!

Scooping Up Some Fun - PPPR dt

Happy Monday!!  Today is my turn to post on the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons BLOG.    I hope you were able to join the PPPR design team this weekend and hop along with our "Go Green" blog hop.  Today I have a layout to share with you that I created -

I used the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Ice Cream Treats" cutting files to create the title and also the cute sundae.  For my youngest daughter's birthday we celebrated with frozen yogurt instead of the traditional cake and I thought these files were a perfect way to scrapbook the memory.

I chose not to use the sprinkles on my project but they do come with the cut file if you need them for your project :-)

I chose to use the "Ice Cream Treats" cutting files BUNDLE but they area also available individually too.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

PPPR "Go Green" blog hop

Welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Go Green" blog hop!!  You should have arrived at my blog after visiting the lovely Nanne.

There is a special freebie file available for free only today and tomorrow (after that it can be purchased in the PPPR store).  The link to the freebie is on Lisa's blog.

Today's blog hop theme is "Go Green" and the design team will be sharing nature and conservation themed projects using Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons files.  For my project, I created a couple of posters to use at our soccer team fundraisers.  At least once a summer we are asked to do parking for a concert event and we often will sell water and soda at this event too.  We like to collect any empty bottles or cans because we can turn them in and collect money from them.  So, my signs will come in handy for the collection part of the event -

I do apologize for the poor quality of these pictures.  I tried shooting from so many different angles and in different places but it was tricky.  I also decided to laminate my recycle bins so that the posters would hold up longer and could be used more often.  To create my posters, I used the following files from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' Store -

I created this card with the "Just Bugcause" stamp set AND die set.  I colored with my Spectrum Noir markers and used a canning jar file from the Silhouette store.

For this card I used a cute Miss Kate Cuttables file for my chick and umbrella and created an easel card.  The sentiment I chose is larger and makes a great focal point for my easel card.
There is a link to this free SVG pattern somewhere in today's hop lineup.
