Trio of Christmas Stocking Gift Card Holders - JB dt

Happy Monday my crafty friends!!

Today is my turn to share some crafty inspiration on the Jaded Blossom Blog.  

I decided to jump on the "Christmas in July" bandwagon and try

and complete a few Christmas projects ahead of the game.

Do you do this?? I always think it sounds like a great idea so thought I would give it a go.

For today's project, I have a trio set of Christmas gift card holders.

I used the Jaded Blossom "Stocking Gift Card Die" and cut three out with white cardstock.

Then I used the "Buffalo Plaid Stencil" and some red hybrid ink to create the pattern on my stockings.

I pulled out my very neglected embossing folders and used one for parts of the stocking to add some texture.  I cut the bows out using the "Bow Dies" and some gold foil paper.

Lastly I used the "Christmas Dies" and cut out the holly leaves and berries and jazzed them up a bit with a couple of different stickles colors.

Today is my turn on the Jaded Blossom blog to share some inspiration,

I created this slimline card for a coworker.

I needed something masculine for a coworker who is leaving to branch out

on his own as a licensed massage therapist.

I used the following Jaded Blossom products on my card -

I used the dragonfly image as dragonflies symbolize change.

The star and moon are also from the Catch Your Dreams stamp set.

For my first project I created a set of A2 sized cards.  I used the new "Polka Dot Stencil" along with some distress oxide inks to create a background pattern and then cut it down.  I used the new "Balloon Letters 1 and 2" and "Balloon Numbers" stamp sets along with the coordinating outline dies.  I also used "So Many Birthdays 4" and "Card Layers Dies 1" for the sentiment.

For my second project, I created a slimline card. 

 I used the new "Balloon Stencil" and the freebie "Circle Words" stamp set.

I saw it as a perfect opportunity to hunker down in the air conditioned house and craft!!
